OpiVOID at UCLA

OpiVOID is a student-founded organization that seeks to combat the opioid epidemic in Los Angeles through educating users about how to safely and sanitarily use while preventing STDs and overdosing, providing direct health care and clinical services to the opioid-dependent community, and advocating for the more humane treatment of drug-reliant individuals. With our vision of a society more cognizant of issues surrounding the opioid epidemic and addiction in general, OpiVOID aspires to create and run programs that raise awareness and serve to connect its organization’s members to essential resources within and outside of UCLA. As a campus organization, OpiVOID hopes to shed light into the patterns of addiction and recovery by drawing attention to the reality of opioid abuse as a clinical illness while directly serving and advocating for the most vulnerable population of opioid users.
