Bitcoin Bruins
Bitcoin Bruins seeks to foster a community of bitcoiners at UCLA through meet-ups, workshops, and education sessions. Bitcoin is a revolutionary protocol with unlimited potential as both a reserve asset and a payments network. Many figures in the space make the analogy that Bitcoin is to money what the internet was to communication. There is lots to explore about the implications of that statement, and there is lots of innovation happening in the space at a rapid pace. We believe it is important to educate the community on bitcoin and the benefits it offers. We will connect with bitcoiners working on Bitcoin projects in LA and beyond through speaker Q&As on topics such as Lightning, self-custody, and much more. Above all, we will further the understanding of, and discussion around Bitcoin for UCLA students and all interested parties.
