Iranian Graduate and Professional Association (IGPA)

This organization is meant to serve Iranian graduate students from all over the campus. We have social media groups on different platforms with hundreds of members and we guess the total number of Iranian graduate students at UCLA is ~500 (medical, non-medical, STEM, non-STEM, etc.). We are mostly interested in scheduling gatherings throughout the year so that community members can get in touch with their peers and get any help/advice they need. This especially helps during the Fall quarter when all newcomers can get all the information (academic, and non-academic) they need from such gatherings and, also, feel more comfortable after they realize people from similar backgrounds are ready to help them. We believe that this organization can help the community of Iranian students to thrive in their studies.
