Beyond Type 1

Beyond Type 1 enhances the lives of those affected by diabetes through advocacy efforts and providing a platform designed specifically for people impacted by T1D. Living away from home with type one diabetes can be a challenge. Navigating lifestyle adjustments, medical appointments, and day-to-day management make living alone for the first time even more of a convoluted journey. We recognize this and aim to work for a better world for those with type one diabetes. Club highlights include networking with leaders in the biomedical field, fundraising efforts, and campaigns to end the stigma that comes with diabetes. Using Beyond Type 1’s platform of connection and community, our club helps students live “beyond” their diagnosis.
